Yesterday guests riding the Carousel of Progress at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom were surprised to see another guest that jumped on stage of the attraction. For an unknown reason a guest got out of the ride vehicle and jumped on stage of the attraction during the first Act. Another guest tackled the guest on stage in an attempt to get him down. The set was damaged in the process.
The Carousel of Progress is a classic attraction at Walt Disney World and showcases the past, present, and future technologies of the world. Did you notice this incident? What do you think should happen to the guest as punishment?
Hello everyone, welcome back to another Theme Park Wizard update! Today I will be going over some photos from @bioreconstruct on Twitter of the Disneyland Resort that he shot last week. Definitely go visit his Twitter account for awesome aerials of places and theme parks mostly in Orlando, but occasionally out here as well, so let’s get started!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
As you can see in this fantastic shot, land clearing and site prep is well underway for the attraction just north of Toontown. The size of the show building is actually larger than Toontown itself. By the time Spring comes we should be seeing this building going vertical, the attraction is slated to open in 2022.
Starting from the top of the land and moving down you can see one of the two plazas near the Parade Route and the Spiderman attraction under construction. Moving down you can see the narrow walkway in between Spiderman and the WEB Suppliers gift shop leading to the more central part of the campus. This is the main dirt area that will house the Avengers Logo, the Doctor Strange show, and Pym Foods. This will also lead to the Avengers E ticket when it opens in a few years.
Lastly, we have a fresh look at Tomorrowland. As you can see most of the rocks are removed and the only thing that remains under construction walls is the E.E.R building that controls the audio effects for the Astro Orbitor. More work is rumored to be coming to this area and the rest of Tomorrowland this Spring, so it will be very interesting to see what happens.
Well that is all for today’s Disneyland Resort update! Comment below what you think of the ongoing projects at the resort and what are you most excited for?
Tron is rising very quickly at the Magic Kingdom and thanks to Midway Magic on Instagram I have some construction progress photos for you!
In this photo you can see that all of the track inside the showbuilding is complete and that the building is quickly rising around the track. In the foreground you can see tons of supports and launch track for the beginning of the ride.
There is a closer look at the launch track. Next up we should see Disney install the iconic swooping high banked outdoor turn and after that the track will most likely be complete. From there they just have to install the show elements and the showbuilding and the queue and then it will be ready for opening in 2021. Here is a look at what the final product will like below!
Are you excited for this attraction? Have you ridden the one in Shanghai? Let me know in the comments below!
Well we know at least some of the work going on at Tomorrowland inside Disneyland. Part of the work going on beside the Tomorrowland Theater is the installation of a new digital Fastpass kiosk that will include fastpasses for Star Tours, HyperSpace Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear.
This new digital kiosk is a test to see how guests react to the new system and if it becomes popular and guests find them easy to use then all fastpasses kiosks will become digital. Guests will have to link their ticket to the Disneyland app to be able to use this new kiosk since their will be no slot to insert your ticket or annual pass.
I happen to love this new idea of getting rid of the paper reminder tickets, but what do you think of this new kiosk? Potentially too confusing for you? Or do you like that Disneyland continues to evolve to the future with less paper and more in-app and digital kiosk type stuff? Comment your thoughts down below!
The Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland may not be finished yet in terms of enhancements with rumors increasing swirling of something to replace Stitch’s Great Escape.
Great Escape was moved to seasonal operations last year due to declining attendance and now has apparently been fast tracked for retirement and relatively soon. Rumor has it that a Wreck it Ralph attraction will be replacing Great Escape and that this Wreck it Ralph attraction will be using some sort of Virtual Reality (VR) system.
Not much else is known about this rumor, but as soon as more details come along I will be sure to update you! Thank you for reading and if you would like to leave a donation or subscribe for exclusive content the options to do so are below and are very much appreciated!

A beautiful new Tomorrowland sign has been installed outside Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. The look of this sign is very clean and modern and points to a futuristic new Tomorrowland that seems to be coming to the Magic Kingdom in small stages leading to the opening of Tron in two years.
I have been following the entrance work at Tomorrowland here at Disneyland as well and our sign and rock work is removed too for the time being. I hope we get an entrance sign as awesome as the new one at Magic Kingdom.
Speaking of Disneyland, here is a construction update from Fresh Baked on how the removal of the rock work is coming along.
This was taken from the Astro Orbitor last Saturday and as you can see the rocks from one side are completely gone and the other side looks like it is about to follow suit. I am really hoping that this means sometime next year Tomorrowland will being its massive refurb and something hopefully will be announced in the coming months. There is other work currently happening in Tomorrowland right now as well such as some work at the Space Mountain exit and the Star Tours facade.
What do you think of the new Tomorrowland sign at the Magic Kingdom? Disneyland’s rocks removed? Tomorrowland enhancements coming to both parks? Comment your thoughts down below!

Finally! Those of you who have been following my Youtube channel and Twitter for a while know that I have been waiting for this moment to happen for months! It was heavily rumored months ago that as part of Project Stardust that the massive French Fry rocks would be coming down at the entrance to Tomorrowland.
Then it was pushed back until sometime after Galaxy’s Edge opened because of expected crowds that never showed up. Now it is almost Fall and the project is under construction in full force. It is actually a two part project, one part deals with lowering the curbs on the East side of the hub, and the other part deals with bringing the rocks down. Below is a current view of what it looks like inside the construction walls.
Here are some photos of the curb lowering portion of the project and again all images are courtesy of fellow blog Micechat.
I am very excited to see this project finally happen. It will take a couple months for both sides of the rocks to come down, but when they do we will have a grand wide open entrance to Tomorrowland. It is unclear if the Tomorrowland marquee is coming back in its current form or not, but I would personally like to see an arched version like the one at Walt Disney World come to our Tomorrowland.
This project along with rumors heating up of a complete Tomorrowland revamp (potentially to be announced this weekend at D23) have me super excited that we could be getting a brand new Tomorrowland within the next few years possibly beginning constrcution as early as next year!
